Yeah, I have. But I've been driving DSMs for the last 8 years, so I was expecting a good hard pull out of the EVO. And boy did it deliver. Very nice. I love the whine of that tranny too. For extra fun, try a similar launch into an immediate left hand 90-degree turn (left turn at a light). *Very* fun.

i didn't even drop it. Droping it makes a poping or snaping noise. I just feathered it quick. Bogged down to about 2.5 to 3k for a millisecond and then BANG ! ! Yer gone and shifting into second before you can say "turbo lag".

Can I tell you, for a newbie to AWD, a one-two shift is tricky.. I still am not used to this damn thing..

This car is real jumpy. 1st to 2nd is so quick you almost want to start in 2nd. My Z06 was easier to drive.

Honda/Acura probably has the best tranny out there...

Hi,

The AWD transmissions are very different from any muscle car I have owned which started with a 1970 GTO. I find the smoothest shift occurs when I go from gear to gear with a slight delay at the neutral gate. It seems to like a light touch (actually two fingers) and can be done very quickly. I find the high release height of a new clutch slowing down my shifts more than the transmission.

I love the gear ratio in the car. I am never more than 1 gear away from what I need. I was always going from 4 to 2 and 5 to 3 in my Talon.

I agree with you..I think the cluth pedal is in a rather odd position. I find my foot slipping to the very top of the pedal a lot.
