head unit install.....easy?

I'm shopping for an aftermarket head unit. Found a nice Alpine unit too. Is installing just plug n play or is there crimping, splicing involved?

Usually there is crimping and splicing if you can't find a adapter.

MrFairlady:
take it apart and look at the harness....

if you see a mitsubishi plug, detatch it from the aftermarket one and plug it into the deck.

if whomever chopped your harness hardwire a mitsu one back in there

try not to hijack, not a lot of people like that

its not hijacking but the first question was answered, so there was no need to start another thread since exp. people were already looking at this one... now if it was totally o.t. then it would be hijacking..

Thank you sir.
My ? = not

oh well....its no biggie sorry If it was borderline hijacking but it stemmed from the same topic,.I'm sorry.

Thats what is crazy about this board compared to the others I'm on....There are SO MANY Newb bull$hit Threads,...so I can see where I could've been pegged as a 16 yr old w/ no license better yet a car.
*No need for more threads.

any who.....so I'll have to buy a new wiring harness obviously if its not on there?
That answers my Question

ps:I'm 27 and not new to "Fourms" nor rules of every forum (all mostly the same).Granted it says Newb by my name here....but I will assure you all that:
honda-tech,NASIOC,my350Z.com,clubrsx,imprezawrxsti.com I know how it works.

Thanks guys & Gals!
