NO.. I just hit 1000 miles today.. that smell is gone.. Or maybe i'm just use to it.. I really have no idea.. U know how when you first have a Air freshner in ur car.. like the first couple day the smile is overwhleming but like 4 days later.. you dont' even reconize it until someone compliments you about the smell of ur car..

I don't even notice a burning smell with my car.. When its hot, it has that 'hot engine' smell, but I'm used to that with my race car.. Its kinda a metallic smell to me.. Other than that, it smells like a new car to me.

I have about 130 mile on mine and the smell is almost gone, I can still smell it when I push the car around 4500-5k for a while. It was scary when the car just got here and I first test drove it, it was smoking and I can see the smoke out of the heat vent, that scared me but I guess it was normal......

Are you talking about the clutch or just the car in general?

It's the coating that is sprayed on the exhaust manifold.. It burns away as it settles into the metal... After about 500 miles I noticed that it started going away... If you go buy a new manifold, that one will burn too, it's totally normal...

I have about 2500 miles on the odo, and the burnin' smell is gone. I did notice it a LOT when it was new. Just give it some time - this setup runs very hot and the undercoating needs to burn off, the cat broken in, etc.

Is normal for all brand new cars, especially cars need to ship over the sea. Is a spray clothing over the engine bay area that will prevent rust.

Looks like I passed you in Mileage there Y I too still smell the engine somewhat and also get a little smoke out the vent when washed.

At 600 miles (supposed brak-in), I thought the smell was gone, but then I drove it extemely hard for the 1st time and it came back. Fortunately, at 930 miles now I no longer detect it.
