Evo 9 Greddy Ti Combination

I just traded my 04 G35 coupe for my brand new 06 TB IX and looking to get an exhaust, I had a thread earlier on the loudest exhaust out, with a good noise and I think I decided on the Greddy Ti. Has anyone fitted one up on an IX yet? I remember reading the HKS Carbon Ti had a slight fitment issue and would be the same on the Greddy Ti. Does anyone have any info or suggestions?

Is the Greddy Ti the loudest? (besides buschur)

Also, where would be the best place to buy? I browsed the vendor fourms last night and saw Injected had a good deal of $845 shipped.

Thanks in advance guys!

I mean is being the loudest exhaust really that important? In my opinion the Greddy kit while nice, is seriously overpriced for just a cat-back, when you can get a Full TBE for a little more, I believe AMS's TBE with test pipe or high flow cat can be had for $900 and you'll see much higher gains in power. Still I believe there are some IXs that already have the Greddy Exhaust on, so I don't think it would be much of a problem fitting it on the IX, $845 is a good price for the Greddy.

if he wants loud exhaust let him have loud exhaust, i have greddy ti on my VIII rs and love it, if people want quiet exhaust then let them have quiet exhaust, no one should be questioned bout this, let them do what they want with their evo

I wanted a loud exhaust but thought i would get tired of it a few months down the road so I got the supposedley like stock sounding RSR Exmag (yes the quit one, not the GT2).

Initially I was disappointed cause it was quiet but know find it a bit loud. Not really complainig though I am glad I went this route. It provides enough noise to know your money is going somewhere and is loud on WOT.

I'm currently running the GReddy Ti on my IX MR. It fits just fine. I'm also running a WORKS 3" dp and a 3" hi-flow cat, so I used the O2 bung on the midpipe of the GReddy and didn't have to plug it. Sometimes slight modification is needed to run a 3" exhaust … click here

I had no problems clearing the carrier bearing heat shield, so it may vary from car to car.

Also keep in mind that JDM exhausts are a bit short of properly clearing the USDM fat-*** rear bumper. I'd recommend some sort of heat shield to save your bumper from getting sooted/possibly melted. Or you could be all bad-*** and get a JDM rear bumper!

Thanks guys, Well about the loud exhaust its just what I want. I kinda have a thing for being noticed but not by the police.

I dont want it ricey so I didnt want to go cheap but I wanted to go all out as I only do it once.

Where is the best place to order the heat shield from, is there any drilling required for the shield?

Thanks again guys! I orderd the Invidia Downpipe, and the Invidia Test Pipe with the Ti, so hopefully a good setup.

I had a carbon fiber heat shield on my 8. I ordered it from Street Image … (626)-962-1503. I paid $100, but that was about a year and a half ago.

Carbign Craft also carries one for $135.

You will have to drill holes into your bumper to attach the shield … unless you trust double-sided tape only, which I wouldn't personally do. I made sure mine stayed on with some rivets!

The Greddy Ti is loud, but sounds so sweet under load. Once in a while I get tired of the loudness, I just pop in the silencer for a week. But I always take it back out because it sounds so good when you run through the gears. With a HFC is sounds a bit deeper. If you don't get on the throttle too much it really isn't all that loud. My wife hates it though, it is not for everyone. Here is a sound clip on another member's car.
