great results.. if the time ever comes i need to rebuilt this motor, or i just happen to have the $ i would love a 2.3 stroker. and being in ny, you guys arent too far from me.. im guessing you dont want to post up in public what the going rate for a set up like that would run, but id love to know for future references.. i would want something very similar as the evo is my dd. i love reliable, streetable power.

gotta get rid of the stock cats though.. find the quietest set up you can, but you have to uncork that sucker..

Dude, I saw your vid Sharkbite. Whatever the reason was that they left the car unfinished, is still no reason to leave the car filthy and full of scratches. I'd never take my car there even to have my fking tire pressure checked. Anyone who doesn't respect someone elses car shouldn't be working on it period. I can't even imagine bro, I just can't. Sorry to hear about your loss.

Sorry, I know this tread is over a year old. But, That's what happens when using the SEARCH.

Al,

I see you're fine tuning on this car really brought out the TQ numbers on this Evo IX.

I have read lots of postings that state on the Evo 8, a 2.3 Stroker maxes out the Stock turbo at the top end.

Did you find that to be true with this car as well?

Have you tuned any other Evo IX with the 2.3 Stroker / Stock IX - 16G?

Thank you,

Buk,
490 TQ 375 Whp stock turbo Evo IX Stroker

Sharkbite, I feel for ya' dude. I really do and I believe I speak for all. Thanks for the heads up about Pruven & also it shows Shops like these. When I was into Supercharging my old ride, I found out to just purchase a car that is fast, like the Evo's, also that they don't make Mech's the way they use to anymore, so therefore I did the work myself. If you can't, then may I suggest that you protect yourself by researching on your consumer affair protection dept. (1) Visit the garage; is it clean? (2) Are there too many vehicles left on the grounds (3) Get estimates in writing. Then finally if you have a complaint, consult your Consumer complaint dept_ it's posted on garage entrances. Good luck!
