does anyone knows if RMR dp will fit on evo ix?

 

The guy I sold my RMR exhaust to (catback only) said it wouldn't work on the IX, and that's why he didn't buy my DP. That's the only info I've got at the moment.

 

did the catback fit? I just ordered one for my IX MR....... (biting nails now.....)

As far as I know, all cat-backs that fit on the 8 will fit on the 9, you just need a bolt to cover the 02 bung if your exhaust was designed for an 8, because it is now located inside the cat. Hope this helps.

 

Thanks, that makes me feel better..... I kind of figured as much but some confirmation from someone that has actually done it always helps.

I AM surprised though that the first response to my question wasn't responded to by Warrtalon telling me to SEARCH harder....hehehehehe.... I swear he must have some kind of instant notification of when anyone posts a question..... wish i had that kind of time on my hands.

Well, all I can say is that the buyer never contacted me to let me know that it would fit. I think you'll be fine.

 

Hey wazup, im Bryans friend that bought the RMR catback from you. Ya it should fit fine on an IX, just gotta put a bolt in the o2 bung. I have an 05 Evo8, the RMR DP wont fit properly on 05+ Evos without replacing the tie bar under the car. I do know that Espelir DP's work on the 05+ without having to replace the tie bar.

ya its pretty good, right now have it on with a resonated 3" test pipe. Sounds great! Not loud at all even with the TP Need to get a downpipe eventually, probalby will go with the Espelir one, i know thats a confirmed fit for the 05+

 

I have a 06 and I'm using a Tanabe RD Downpipe. It fits perfect, no rattles, or anything.
I'm probably going to upgrade to a Vishnu one once they make one for the IX.

 

I have the Espilier and it fits perfect no rattles. Has anyone removed there cat for a test pipe

 

I had the RMR DP on my 05. It will fit, but the stock lower crossbars will not work. You will need the RMR lower crossbar. It should fit a 06.
