gearbox??

I am not sure I you get where I am going but I hope you understand my question.
I am Icelandic so my vocabulary is not that great... but here is the deal:

I am looking for an evo, as you may have noticed due to my countless theads on the subject. A guy I know told me the gearbox and things related were complete different in the 5speed and the 6speed MR. that is, it was alot stonger in the 6speed. I am not even sure what I am asking but can you please give me some info on the subject.
comparing the models on mitsucars.com didn´t tell me anything.

the guy is into the 1/4 on the STI and he knows alot about them, but I am not sure how much he knows about the EVO. FYI he did 9,841 sek at 142,81 on Santa Pod.

The 6spd is different, yes, but there's no indication that it's stronger than the 5spd on the Evo.

thanks, load of my mind. I always thought the 6speed was weaker, not on the evo but generally, but then again I never really knew.

any addidional info on the difference, apart form there being an extra gear would be great
