Ok, guys, I wanted to apologize to everyone for Boosted_AWD who just got banned this weekend, then went on a rampage by mimicking my name by adding a "_" to the end, and then copying all of my info and sig. He screwed up a bunch of threads, but the mods have since fixed it (thanks, guys).

However, one thing that no one can fix is the fact that he created the AIM name of "warrtallon" with an extra "L," and he is now messaging them with the same crap and giving terrible advice on purpose. Some newbies have accidentally IM'd him not knowing the difference, and he has not only been giving them bad advice all day, but he took the time to rub it in my face and continue the mockery via IMs to me.

So, please, any of you, if you receive a msg over AIM, take a close look, because:

1) My only name is "Warrtalon," and

2) I almost ALWAYS get contacted first - I rarely, if ever, IM someone else out of the blue. In fact, I don't think I ever have, so if a name like "warrtallon" messages you out of the blue, you can bet that it's not me.

He did it because he didn't like me to begin with, was jealous of what I've accomplished, thought I got him banned by crying to blonde (not true - blonde has warned me many times and is not fond of me in the least), and thinks I'm a 30yo guy who hides behind his computer all day while blasting noobs for no reason. It's true that I am abrasive and direct at times, but it's all for the purpose of helping people. I just have a different tack than some others, and mine doesn't involve hand-holding. I've improved my behavior over recent months, and I think things are going well overall, but when he got banned for being a douche, he took it out on me.

Yes, both accounts are currently banned. Hopefully, he has an IP ban, but that doesn't necessarily mean he won't be back from a different IP maybe...

Kinda like FastestEvar who got banned just recently, but told me on AIM that he has 5 computers with different IPs and plans to just make a new account.

 

Yeah there are easy ways around it.

the 2 accounts are banned for good now but that doesn't mean that he won't come back. we are currently working on pressing charges against him (umiami) for trasspassing as well as other counts. we will have lawyers working on this along with his IP provider and hopefully we will get rid of him once and for all.

as far as the warrtalon issue, just double check the name before you reply or send a massge. the last thing we want is for this shmuk to give bad advice that can harm your car so take the extra time to make sure that you are talking to the right person.

last thing, we need your help with all these multiple accounts and so far most of you have been a great help. if you see a new account that you think belongs to a banned member, send me or the other mods a pm and we will check the IP and ban if needed. we are all working on finding these people but your help makes it so much easier.

 

oooh it makes sense now, i was looking at a couple threads that i thought you were posting in and then it said "Account Disabled". What a ***....

 

The ip ban will only be temporary if he has a dynamic ip... the reason it is leased and will be changed periodically..also depends on isp as well, hell be back he can easily call isp and ask for new one too... I work at Time Warner Cable tier 3 only reason I know
