I've been waiting for some dynotune # at TT with the IX. The EVO 9 is making some good numbers. My 03 tuned by Mark makes the same HP but with the addition of Cams and header. Also my car have been running fawlessly in the last two and a half years with close to 500 runs in autox and 8 trackdays. The car performed well that I never have to worry about any mechanical or tuning failure, took year end Champion in SCCA Solo2 in NY region (SM), North NJ region (SM), NASA NE region (A class), BMWCCA NY chapter (F class) in year of 2005.

I'm in the process of returning my 03 to stock and will trade it in for the IX at the end of this month to run in BSP next season or SM if I go with cams. I'm shooting for around 350hp with pump and around 360hp with 100oct with basic bolt ons. It should be benifitial with the way how the power deliver with the mivic and with the ACD to put them on the ground.

Kevin

Wow , I got to tell you David is a stand up guy . He just replaced a part on my car that I got from him 2 years ago and wasnt his part in the frist place (valve spring) . He treated me with the up most respect , never question why or how or what happened . Super-quick trun around . Pretty much David is the F-ing man . I would go out of my way to do business with him .

Great #'s after the tune TT !

Good point

The bleed hole in the TX is too large and it creates a significant boost leak - it seems to be less of a factor with the IX than with the Evo 8 due to the larger turbo

i like the hallman, Forge, and Buschur MBC's - they are all super on evos

Btw - the new Blitz color display EBC is a really nifty unit, I played with one of them this weekend - it is interesting

I agree with the TurboXs boost controller being a poorly designed MBC. I had problems with mine, Mark swapped it out with a Halman and the boost holds very nicely now.

Edit: Plus I must have lost about 3 hex wrenches trying to adjust the thing.

My baseline dyno run was 270whp and 259 ft. lbs.

I baselined by car before at xotic motorsports and baselined 272whp & 273 ft. lbs

Thanks for the baseline. None of our stock IXs dyno'd higher than 254whp/255wtq at our Dyno Day on Sunday (dynojet), so that helps with the comparison, although yours may just be faster, because your trap speed matches those readings...

hova,

Thanks for the compliments on our service and the exhaust. The systems fit great and are a breeze to install, as you saw.

Again, nice power numbers.

Is the Buschur Downpipe 3 inch..If so, did it clear the ACD and the lower braces?
