$5000 thats an arseload of money to waste on the same darn car!
You'll be eating the depreciation of two brand new vehicles. OUCH!
Imagine how pissed you'll be when the X is released.

not worth since you have an 05'.
just do the evo9/20g from BR since you have the 10.5 hotside. thats where alot of the power is coming from + the mivec.

Probably because MIVEC isn't all that great. The biggest gains come from the new turbo.

If you are trading just to get more power.......that is a HUGE waste of cash. Take the $5k you were about to waste on tracing....put half of it into an investment....take the other half and make your eight run mid 11s.

You still owe $33k and and you put $5k down, and paying $600 a month. Were in the heck did you buy that thing, and way did it cost so much. Granted I am paying $575 a month, but with 0 down, car was $33k total. But still is my math right? You payed like $38k for the car. You owe $33k now plus the $5k you put down. I love my Evo but I don't think I would have paid much more than I did. My first choice was an 04 RS, brand new up for grabs at $25k. Sold before I could get to the dealer. The one I got was the last one on the lot and I already had my mind set on an Evo, especially after the test drive.

Another one of these threads that leaves me scratching my head. Ignoring the trade-in part altogether (which would be a terrible choice not to mention you basically have the same car anyway), how much are you guys spending on your car/year when you figure in car payments + insurance + mods + maintenance? $600 car payments are freaking crazy. I bet with the other stuff, you are spending over 1k/month or $12k/year. OUCH! Start working some overtime so you can get that sucker paid off/down and then use that money on something that will actually earn you money like a house or mutual funds.

They don't budge if they know you will buy it for the asking price which it sounds like you did. So they bet right.

Don't be afraid to walk away from a deal. You can get the car for less if you are willing to do some work and don't let your emotions get the best of you thinking you *HAVE* to have it.

I say keep it. I was in the same situation and if I were to do it over again, i would have just kept my old ride and modded it even more with the money you were to going to lose on getting the new ix.
