Just keep what you have and be happy.

Keep your Evo VIII with SSL.

Don't be afraid to walk away from a deal. You can get the car for less if you are willing to do some work and don't let your emotions get the best of you thinking you *HAVE* to have it.
No i had called 4 different dealers in my area and nobody would budge of sticker exext the dealership i bought mine from which they gave me about 1300 off of. Which granit yes i wanted the car so i bought it but like i said not every dealer will budge on price

agree, save your money, pay the car off as fast as possible. after a few years your amount owed/cars value should start to even out, then if you was nt to trade you wont be losing so much $$$. and the little difference there are between the 8 and 9 you can easily improve by mods w/ little $$. good luck.

I hate to be rude here, but why do people ask these questions. Do you not now how to do math. Anytime you owe more than they are going to give you, don't do it. Unless you have thousands of extra dollars laying around that you want to spend.

Like I said before - you don't know how to negotiate. Calling a dealer is a complete waste of time. They aren't going to give you a good price on the phone because then you could call another dealer and tell them to beat so-and-so's price. To get a good deal, you need to go to the dealership and know the numbers before hand.

I am paying 585 per month for 6 years with 0 down. But then I make over 85K a year so 600 per month for a car is affordable

I'll prolly trade my 05 in in 2 -3 years for when I am not uspide down anymore. I think of it as an expensive lease

It's pretty pathetic to make that kind of money and not be able to come up with a down payment. I don't know that I would be bragging about that. Pay that sucker down early!

40K seems a LOT for an 8 even with ssl, and you said you got it what 5 months ago? The price for an 8 back 5 months ago should've been low 'cause the dealers would try to get rid of them and make room for the 9. I got mine almost a year ago for 31K, 5K down with 4.75% I only pay $440 a month for 6 years. I didn't get the SSL package 'cause I hated leather (smell, heat, etc.) but now I kinda regret that decision a little (sun roof, HID), the dealer where I got my car from did have an Evo with SSL there and if I've gotten that one the payment would only be about $40 more a month. For 40K I could've gotten an MR and still have money left over.
