set the record straight

ok i installed my walboro fuel pump 255. Now the thing is i drove it for about two weeks and it didn't make any sounds as i thought i would . But after two weeks i hear this whining sounds . it's located at the gas tank. So i'm sure it's my fuel pump or at least i hope so . Knowing that it's normal and nothing is wrong with my car. I own an Evolution By the way. Keep in mind when i first had it i did play my car stereo on loud all the time. It might have been happening all this time but i just probally barely notice it. For those who have the pump and whines.... does it wine all the time from when you start the car till you shut it off ?

welcome to the world of Walb FP's, im assuming they all make the whine noise, imo, but do a search im believe there are countless posts about the noise

the 255hp on teg is really loud, but i dont notice it anymore, i usually have music on and my exhaust is deep and drowns anything.

That's a good sound for would be racers if they know what an upgraded FP sounds like.... Not all of them however, just a few.

My Walbro makes noise too. I have had lots of Hondas and mustangs with the Walbro and it is the same. I guess you have to take into consideration that the same overall size unit is moving nearly double the volume of fuel...bound to be some cool noises. My M3 has this pump in it to and it makes noise too. Common with the pump, not the car.
