What to flash?

Going for a flash very soon.

I will ask the dealer to just remove the speed limiter WITHOUT any tuning of sorts as I have my piggy back tuning solution.

However, since he is going to waste 1x of the 100 tune available, is there anything other things that I should ask him to remove to maximise the potential of the piggy?

I know rev limiter is a no no as it will seriously endangered the engine.

Any comments?

Your dealership is going to flash you with modified ECU settings?

Ha...of course not...not the regular dealer (They are not so kind)...it is an aftermarket flash.

They give me a ala-carte list of items which is 'tunable'. I just want to explore if there is anything other than speed limiter that I should remove since he is already dialing into the ecu.

Let me clarify...I am from Asia. all JDM car here including EVO have a speed limiter at 180km/h. Fuel cut will set in soon after that speed.

This flash is available from a tuner here that are able to dial into the ecu and remove the speed limiter, tuning (Flash), rev limiter etc.

We know what a flash is; I was asking who the tuner is and what software was being used. There is more than one type of flashing software.

Anyway, if you're going to ask for stuff like this, you should always mention you're from Asia, because this is a 90% American site, so we assume you're in the US unless otherwise stated, and since you didn't bother to put your location in your profile, then we have no idea.

I would have the rev limiter raised from 7600 to 7800 (or 8000 if you have 280 cams), remove fuel cut, and remove the top speed limiter. I'd also set the launch control wherever you want it, but I'm not sure if your flasher can do that, and I'm not sure if your piggyback can do it...

Your Dynoflash probably removed the speed limiter, but in stock form, our cars are limited to 155 mph.

Great thks! I am trying to find the link to the tuner website. I will be using ecu+ after the initial flash. And since I will be using ecu+, I will skip the tuning portion from the tuner. Once I found the website, I will post it here.

By the way, my apology for the mis-understanding here.

I was under the impression that 155 limit was due to hp/drag
But h3ll I never been close to 155 any ways

Edit --- I guess if I slowed down to read better i would have seen that 2 years ago when i got my flash . Learn something new every day ....
