Well, we just had a IX with tbe/mbc/flash hit 12.0 and trap 112 due to bouncing off his rev limiter in 4th (shorter gearing on IXs), so I'm pretty sure that car was capable of 106-107mph before those mods. 12.0@112 with hitting the rev limiter is exactly what I did in my 05 MR (12.01@111.7) when I was on RACE gas with all those same bolt-ons, yet this IX did it with pump gas and a weaker 60'. IXs own us...

Any ideas if gearing will seriously limit 1/4 times on the IX?

It already is...

They will suffer just like the 05 MRs who have trouble trapping over 115mph without shifting to 5th...

Nice runs last night!! Your car should have trapped higher, that track sucks big time!! Go to the gainsville on and run, it should make a difference

I'm curious, but did you shift to 5th gear since you have a MR or left it in 4th?

yeh Orlando speed world is known to be kinda slow, i am sure if i went to bradenton it would have been better
beside my friend with a 03 evo 8 with a TBE and injen intake had the same trap speed as me (102mph), so i dont think my car is slow

Yeah, try out a different track then. Is Moroso just as slow or no?

dunno never been to moroso, but i have taken my 05 evo 8 to bradenton and ran a 12.7@109 on 93octane vs a 12.9@106 at orlando, then i took the car again in orlando with 100 octane and runing 24psi and ran a 12.6@109...so u see something is up with orlando

It could be possible that he heatsoaked it when he ran. I've picked up a mph or two just by letting the car cool for a little bit between runs.
