SPEED channel dropped WRC! Sign the programming petition!
This weekend's Monte Carlo rally-cross is supposed to kick off the WRC season. It was on SPEED's programming schedule last month. Now it's gone and hours and hours of NASCAR (both past and present) are in its place. What a joke. If you're pissed about it sign this petition and cancel your subscription to SPEED...

It's truly a sad day when a so called "car guy network" cancels one of the rawest forms of racing in the world and fills the time slot with NASCAR clips from 1978. It's not enough that we have to watch cars go around in circles for 3 hours, but now their drivers are wearing bell-bottoms and sporting lamb chops.
Sigh.... This channel was barely getting by as it is. First Dakar coverage (the REAL Amazing Race!) and now WRC. All so I can see the latest spoiler change on so and so's domestic branded, template designed, lead gas burnin', erectile dysfunction sponsored lead sled. Brilliant.
I wanted to sign this, but I have some problems with it. I like Unique Whips (when they show new episodes) and Texas Hardtails (cracks my **** up). I would like to add Australian Supercar V8 racing to the list of favorable programming.
I definetly like WRC, but one thing to remember about that is they are changing their schedule and are going to race from like August to May starting in 2007, I think. That was the talk at the end of last season anyways. I would look for Speed to pick up WRC again with that new schedule. The whole point of the new scheduling was to reduce competition with NASCAR and others.
