All in all, the purpose of the speed channel was to provide a venue fort the automotive enthusiat to get his fix. It was a niche channel. And that is where it developed it's reputation, by carrying forms of racing viewers couldn't see anywhere else. Endurance racing, formula 1, british touring car racing, the SCCA runoffs and of course rally coverage were what made Speedvision the channel to watch.
Now I guess corporate greed has taken over and they are blinded the the $$ of nascar. This is unfortunate but real. Now if only some rich entreprenuer could seize the opportunity they leave by becoming the all nascar all day network and create something similar to the old speedvision by snatching up coverage contracts as speed drops them...

Keep sending the petition to people you know guys. It looks like we're already at 1500+ signatures in less than 15 hours. Hopefully it'll be close to 3000 signatures before the end of the day.
I don't know which will have a more lasting impact...cancelling SPEED or signing this petition...but a lot of people have done both.
