Kia Optima has same cylinder head as an Evo????

I find this pretty hard to believe, but the pics look just like an Evo head. I can't believe that the Evo and Optima have a cylinder head in common

Nothing new...

Hyundai = kia = using mitsu parts. The new hyundai sonata uses a revised 4G69 MIVEC w/ DOHC. Same engine as the ralliart. Also the new hyundai azera uses a revised 4G v6 eclipse engine w/ DOHC.

Some Hyundai DOHC valve covers bolt onto the 89-99 4g63 so that doesn't surprise me. Much cheaper to use the same unit than to make a new one so it makes sense

This was mentioned in a thread from not long ago. In korea there is a car named the hyundai accent evolution which uses a turbocharged 4g63 with the same internals as the Evo. Its the ultimate ricer =D
