After buying the car I have added the "GSR" parts I wanted. The only way to get front LSD at the time was to get an RS. I now have everything I wanted without any of the extras...and it's done the way I wanted it.
How difficult/expensive was it for you to install power windows and locks? I want to get an 04 RS for the front LSD just like you did.

LMFAO. It's not like we're making commission here if we help you out. It's just sad that this information can be easily found by a 9 year old.

Pretty easy actually. All the wiring for the front doors is already there so it's just plug n play with the new parts. Find someone who wrecked their Evo and buy the following parts off of them...

door panels
wiring harnesses
window motors
window regulators
lock actuators
red lock "brain" from behind the steering wheel

Research the RS insurance rates, I went with Allstate and they are very familiar with all the EVO models. Sorry.....back on topic.

To be honest, I don't remember how much everything cost. It will be different with everybody, depending on who you buy the parts from. I can tell you it'll be very expensive if you buy from Mitsubishi!!!! I got most of the parts from a couple people but at the time coudn't find the passenger side wiring harnesses...I bought them from Mitsu and those 2 parts cost more than everything else combined. You can probably get everything for $250 - $400 depending on who you find with the parts.

They're almost 100lbs lighter than other Evos. They also have an aluminum roof, teflon coated linkage, trunk brace, and RS floor mats. I think that's about it.

Time to set the record straight. "Turd Squirter" might be a newbie like me, but at least he's done his research.

The following is an excerpt from the link below:

"For five-speed equipped Lancer Evolutions, a closer ratio selection of gears helps maximize the engines power and improve acceleration. A Teflon liner on the shift selector cable improves the precision of the shift knob positioning and actuation."

http://media.mitsubishicars.com/deta...61947&mime=ASC 17th paragraph down.

To the thread starter, we would suggest you go get something else and not the Evo. It will give you the problem down the road especially you do not know how to read and not willing to accept people's comments such as Warrtalon gave you a link and it is just one click away to find out all the answers you have.

If you are looking for inventory, it is another story and I am sure we (Evom) has quite a few salesmen throughout the States to help you locate one.

If you are not willing to spend to time to read and digest whatever problems or questions you have, both Evo and STi are not for you.
