Here's one way. What I do is get my revs up to 5500-6000rpm while stationary, then ever-so-lightly start to let out the clutch. As the clutch barely starts to grab, it will remove the drivetrain slack. After it has done that, it will slowly start to roll the wheels. Just as this happens, I hammer the gas and release the clutch quickly. Here it is in action:

I use the stock launch control right now. I've gotten a few better 60's w/o it, but I'm much more consistent with it.

Haha, well that's me, too, but with the new 6k launch control on my Dynoflash. I haven't had a chance to test it at the track yet to confirm that I can get great 60's. I still use the same method as above except that my foot stays planted on the accelerator instead of having to try and modulate the revs.

I'm waiting on those results so I can see if that's the route I want to go.

Well, here's the thing. Since you have an 05, you can get the Dynoflash and choose the launch control rpm (5500, 5750, 6000, whatever), and if it doesn't work, you can still disconnect the 5k limiter switch (works the same after the Dynoflash), and then you can launch at whatever rpm you want. Also, if your first rpm level doesn't work, then you can have Al change it to another one.
