I'm looking at a different route. I want a seperate trunk lid that never had a wing attached. Then I can choose whichever I want. How hard could it be to change back and forth? Price will be close, correct?

Well finally bit the bullet. Was thinking between silver and yellow, but then I saw red. Perfect balance of sportiness without being as in your face as yellow, and not as conservative as silver. SOLD to the Brit with the HUGE smile on his face.

So now that you are getting the holes plugged is it going to be permanent? How do you think this will effect your resale value (not that your wanting to sell soon)?

 

I've seen all colors except blue and white as well, and as I had planned to all along, I got the yellow. It's just so much more impressive looking and I would never let the threat of tickets alter my decision of what color I want for my car.

 

I have seen all the colors in person now, and I like the Blue and White the best, though I don't think you can go wrong with any of them. I personally thought that the Yellow was actually a little dull. I would have prefered it to be even brighter than it is. If you are gonna do it, go all the way.
I chose White, which is what my allocation was. I like white because it does not draw attention, and so far, haven't turned too many heads, which is good in my opinion.

 

I have silver. Red and yelllow are cool but you could just get a silver one and then get some big stickers that say i hate pigs and put them on the side to get the same effect from the cops.

 

P.S. When you're going 150 mph by a cop it doesn't really matter what color you have.

 

After thinking about it,,, I could have just got a trunk lid.... but when I was quoted a price of $980. to have the trunk painted and installed, i went for the welded idea.

But either way will work depending on what you want to do. As far as resale, i plan on keeping this car for a while. If the buyer wanted the wing, It can be re-installed. If not im sure someone will like it just the way it is... wingless.

 

I really wish white -or- blue would have been available when we purchased ours. I had to settle for Lightning Yellow though ...not really my personal taste, but the wife seems to like it.
