as for performance parts...

It has the cusco rear strut brace (front one is factory)
coilover suspension with ajustable camber plates
sway bar
exhaust w/ test pipe (I did not see a cat)
turbo timmer
boost guage
and the wheels.

Looks nice and has great miles for an 03

but what really worries me is look at the color of the brembos (they only turn that color of dark red when heavily used!!
Did anyone else notice that it had new front rotors? The stocks are not slotted, someone has beat this car... Probably has low miles cause it was all on the track...

Buyer beware...

beat or not the car looks clean! plus thats what it is set up for anyways....rite??? r u saying the evo cannot take sum abuse?... im pretty sure it can... plus if its been driven hard like its ment to, and it only has that many miles on it, then the buyer has nothing to worry about!!

gotta remember one thing too though..most people dont buy evo's to baby them so the chances of getting a babied evo is probably pretty slim.

Yeah, good luck with that point of view. Can't wait until you actually buy an Evo - hopefully, you follow your own advice.

It is not a good idea for this guy who knows very little to buy a car that has been modded and abused. The loose ends on this Evo really point to a potentially disastrous outcome.

Notice the "Brownbo's"? This car may have been tracked, IE ran hard and put away wet. I'd be weary of the clutch/T-case. If your gona spend $25k on the car spend some extra $ and see it for yourself or have a shop (that knows Evo's) inspect it.

but the mods are so little. i mean, if a guy who owned an Evo was only using it on the track, wouldn´t he put in some mods that would boost up the hp?
i can´t buy an Evo that has no miles on it´s back but as i said, i was looking for a 04-05. this one just looked like he had not been treated too badly... but then again, you´re the experts so i am really thankful for your response!

also, most of the Evos on ebay have even more miles, even the 05´s are close.

PS. what do you mean by "put away wet"?

I'd buy this guys one first. $22K

Its highly modded, but no expense has been spared, and will put to shame most cars out there.

so, what do you think? it looks pretty stock to me performance wise... am i completely wrong?

also, it has those strutbars. i know the evo has those 3 settings: gravel, snow and tarmac. doesn´t this mix it up? and would it be wise to take them off?

The owner of the car seems to have heated up the brakes pretty well. Definitely rides it hard, look at the parts, typically set up for autox, cusco rear (to lessen understeer) and coilovers, slotted rotors and the color on the calipers, damn?!?! Previous owner may or may not have had other mods, pretty easy to take back to stock or close to it. I wouldn't buy it. Just my opinion.....

That's the problem. The car probably DID have a lot of power mods that were taken off and put back to stock. There are indications of this if you read and look closely. It looks like a VERY bad idea to me...

My biggest thought is that he had a EMS (via the "Computer Line"), took it out and put in the stock ECU.

What are those 2 looking penny sized round rust spots on the manifold headshield?
