No, 99mph is not good at all for a stock 05. That's not even good for an 03 Evo, HOWEVER, 13.45 is VERY good driving for only hitting 99mph. So, the good news is that you drove the hell out of it, but the bad news is your 05 is pretty slow. Factors that could make it slower would be high temperatures, high elevation, low octane, and/or a bad track. My stock time was 13.17 but at 103.89 mph with average driving.

It must of been a hell of a run against that C5 ZO6!! His front must have been right next to your doors, if not side by side at the end. Though his trap speed was 4 mph higher, so he was coming. Atleast you had him all the way through the run.
Also, if you don't mind sharing, what is your method of launching the car out the hole?

The ET depends on driver, but the trap speeds show the car's power, but of course that is all still dependent upon weather conditions, altitude, octane, and track conditions.

MPH is prob diff due to diff transmission. 6 speed vs 5 speed on the 6 speed it probably pulls you thru the rpm band slightly faster due to a shorter gear where as the 5 speed is a longer gear

his car's power curve could cause the lower trap speed. The power comes early but more powerful then falls at the end. remeber, there is a bike that traps only 100 mph but it does under 10 sec.

that's not true. because your reaction time doesn't calculate into your ET. you can sit there and let the when the green light hit. and still have the same ET as you were to launch on green. The ET only start as soon as your car move.

anyway a lot of people on the track concentrate on the greenlight so much and mess up on the launch. For me i just hold the steering as straight as possible and just eye *** the greenlight really. I rather concentrate on my launch
No one mentions reaction time.
Hey! That's a great time for a stock evo AND A NEW DRAGGER! Don't let anyone pizz on your run. Cause I seen another say he's done 13.17 but he forgot to mention that was his best time bone stock, so logically it may have taken him a few runs to achieve that. You too shall gain the experience needed over time and ore runs.
Let's also consider that we're running turbo charged cars. This means that atmospheric conditions at the track, that day also make a difference. But what I like the most about your run and post, is that you scanned the slip in. If you can shave ever .4 off your reaction time, given the same conditions, you would be at 13.05. Do the numbers yourself.
So to any newbie that is capable of a 13. flat in a stock evo. I say 'Good Work!'

I think just a few posts up we already had a sidbar discussion about reaction times. The reason why it hasn't been brought up otherwise is because reaction times have no bearing on the ET. No matter how much better his reaction time is (or worse), his ET will not change. 60' is what matters, and he's only going to improve that by .2 at most (not .4).
