Best cash to horsepower ratio?

im wondering what mod has the best cost to performance gain ratio? (no N2o) i wasnt going to mod my evo, but when i see full turbo back exahusts selling for 500 bucks im awful tempted. im sure this has been asked many times and i DID try searching for it to no avail, but what seems to be the average gain from a flash/TBE/MBC combo on an 03? whats the cheapest i can get all of these for?

Maybe an ECU flash. Then again you'll need another one after you add a TBE. It depends on your goals though. If you could only do one mod and that was it I think it'd be tough to beat the bang for the buck of a manual boost controller.

Man, you gotta be kidding me. You said you searched and found nothing related to the one thing we talk about most? I'm so tired of you doing this over and over. You're an awful member of this site, imo.

I can't even remember how many times I have personally written out the most cost-effective and powerful method for modding an Evo. I even have it in my damn signature just to make it easy on people like you who are completely inept at using the search function...

You're too generous dude. Replace the sig with one of these before you lose it man. I've been on car message boards for almost 8 years now and one thing that never changes is the people who don't search...

They're both pretty good. I've heard the STi has more raw power and the Evo handles better. That's what my Road & Track January 2003 says!

Yeah, I think it's going to be like an Evo 7.5 or something. Check this thread for more info:

Theoretically, the flash leans you out, using slightly less gas. The problem is the flash caused pedalmetalitis, which basically causes the gas needle to do an F14-style nose dive...
