Unfortunately the Evo only has a 2 star side crash rating for the front seats. I've heard it tests even worse in other countries with more real world tests. I was T-boned in the rear door when a girl on her cell ran a light going about 15 while I was going 30. The stiff hard chassiss of the car left me without injury while her car was totalled and she suffered neck and facial injuries. The problem is when you get hit higher at door handle level. That is where the Evo is dangerous in a side impact compared to safer cars like the STI. This may not pertain to this wreck as the speed was so high and any car would have been bad IMO.
RIP and well wishes for their family and friends.

Mark, my condolences. I've seen Joe around a couple of times when you sold me my Evo. Prayers go out to his family and the SC Mitsu family.

Sorry to hear about your loss Mark... Although i met the driver that night for a short period of time, he struck us as very friendly and outgoing. My condolenses to his family/friends and all of his co-workers!
