Nice work SilverEvo08! I recently spoke to a guy (Nick) that owns a software company, and he currently offers ECU reflash set-ups for Audi/Volks + other German and a few other imports. He's currently working on a set-up for the EVO 8 and claims it will become available in July or so. I believe the customer will be able to tailer the set-up to meet his/her needs (tons of flexibility)! I spoke to him yesterday (he just moved to my area) and he's in the process of buying an EVO so he should be able to get the show on the road soon. Check out his website for more detailed info on his set-up. http://www.revotechnik.com

Could be another solid option!!! His price is somewhere around $499 for the software, I believe. Nick's email is u.s.sales@revotechnik.com
This is very interesting. In the WRX, these options were not available. There were some rumors of some guy in Canada who was reflashing the OEM ECU, but there was never any real information available of any way to get this done. I know that LINK of Australia made a stand alone ECU replacement unit, but although some guys wrote great testimonials, I always read between the lines about lots and lots of fiddling and driveability issues. Of course, if you are a total motorhead and arre building a race car, I guess that's not a big deal..... The MOTEC and HAL solutions are not really what I want, not practicable for an everyday vehicle.(unless of course you are the afore mentioned motorhead )What I want is a solution that maintans all the driveability of a well functioning, new stock car, with the performance of the Japanese version of the EVO VIII. I hear they get upwards of 330 HP from the Japanese cars out of the box. That's a Ralliart (read: factory) modified car...

Very cool indeed. That's almost exactly what I was referring to before. Much like DSMLink is for the DSM world. You retain full factory ECU driveability while getting complete control over the functions you need when you need them.

I'm genuinely surprised at how quickly and completely the EVO ECU market is being covered! Things are going to get exciting very fast!
