Evo / Mcs

Hi,

I current drive a 2003 jet black MINI Cooper S which is also my first car. I've enjoyed the experience of driving this lil' go kart even though MINI's aren't renowned for their horsepower.

I've only really appreciated the Lancer Evo with the VIII back in 2003 when first released. I've been toying with the idea of trading in my MCS for an Evo IX as keeping both cars may not be feasible financially.

So i put this to you owners of this beast of a car: what are the good and bads that come with this vehicle (like with all cars)?.

Kudos,

p_w

I had a mini cooper s before getting the evo. It too was my first car. Those things handle so well and theyre so much fun to drive. The suspension on them is a little rougher than the evos. I bottomed mine out so many times its not even funny. The evo has MUCH more pickup than the mini does. The mini feels like youre going fast because youre so close to the ground. In the evo, you actually are going fast. They both handle extremely well, but because of the evo's awd, it has the upper edge in handling. The evo also gets much better traction and is much better in rain and snow. Oh yeah, and the evo has about 3 times the space and you can actually fit someone bigger than 4'5 in the back seat.
