Does anyone know where I can find diagrams for installing my car alarm with remote start. I have an EVO IX but it should be very similar to the old evo VIII?
Im mainly having trouble understanding the door trigers and dome light. Also, is there a way to bypass the key transponder bull. havent got to the lock unlock stuff either so basically I guess I havent really got anywhere accept to understand the ignition outs. does anyone know if this will void any portion of my warranty?

 

sounds like some questions someone would ask that has never installed a remote start/security before......

I would stop and take it to your local circuit city...just my opinion and I install 2-3 remote starts a day...

 

I had one of those installed on my Intrepid way back, and it FRIED my wiring harness!

 

As far as remote starts nearly all (circuit city, bestbuy) shops will not install remote starts because of safety issues. I work at bestbuy and it is against store policy. You can bypass the transponder in the key by using a 556uw bypass from DEI, you will lose a key in the process. There are websites like directech.com that have wiring diagrams for your car, but I there is a fee to use it. You will have to get a membership for the website. I have a Viper 791xv on my evo and I have never had a problem. Smoked Mustang, what brand of did you have put in your intrepid? Depends on the brand that you had installed, I won't install certain brands because of the quality of the unit. Actually I installed this on my last car and it was very easy. These new cars just have to much complicated circuitry. And like the other guy said, no one will install one on a manual even if it has safty protection like mine so you dont watch your car drive accross the lot. I was trying to avoid buying the wiring diagram shop manual but if no one can help me, I guess I might have to.
