Ecutek TUNED !!!

I finally got tuned and I must say I'm with the results.
Mods: K&N drop-in,Greddy catback,Ecutek flash.

HP: 284 whp
TQ: 284 wtq
This car books mangggggggg !!! is a different animal now or beast I should say , I seriously recommend getting your IX tuned (if in LA go to Harman)

to DAN and Harman Motive !!!!
http://www.harmanmotive.com/

Will post dyno's later .

This another IX tuned by Dan :

Thanks to Andy, we got our hands on an Evo IX for a few days of testing and development for our Harman Motive EvoIX Flash using EcuTek technology.

We dynoed the car bone stock, then proceeded to flash. We then installed a turboback exhaust system, 02 housing, and K&N panel filter and repeated.

All tests were performed the same day on the same dyno with the same car. All results are using the pump California 91 octane Andy drove in with.

Summary
Stock: 260WHP 253TQ - 17.15psi peak
Stock + Flash: 288WHP 280TQ - 22.71psi peak

Turboback: 301WHP 261TQ - 18.14psi peak
Turboback + Flash: 330WHP 301TQ - 22.37psi peak

This graph compairs the car stock vs. Harman Motive flash. Only modifications were the reflash and boostMOD (stock hoses and solenoid remain).

This graph compairs the car with a full catless turboback vs. Harman Motive flash.

This graph compairs the reflashed stock car vs. reflashed with turboback.

Needless to say, I was very impressed with the performance of the car. It's right inline with my Evo8 MR w/ cams, intake, etc.

Each map was road tested following the tune to confirm proper A/F, boost, and timing profiles on the street. All tuning was conducted using "det cans" (knock sensor and amplifier connected to headphones) to ensure safe tuning.

Test Vehicle
2006 Evo IX MR GG - 1000mi ODO

Final Mod List
Espelir Downpipe
RNR Cat Delete
RNR Catback
K&N Panel Filter
Harman Motive EcuTek Reflash
boostMOD

Much of your improvement appears to be from boost alone.

Very nice numbers, but I think the stock cat is really taking away power their. If you go with a full turboback exhaust you should be well over 300WHP. Good numbers though.

On the second car - did they get 300HP with a TB exhaust only or was it after they put a TB after the base flash?

I agree. Have you thought about completing your turbo back exhaust, not just a catback? having a tapered exhaust system does bad things for your EGT.

Looks like it was with just the turbo-back. Look at the tq #'s..... not too huge of a jump.

Ugh I hate say this, but your numbers look a little low, I know your on the stock cat and downpipe, but I doubt that the addition of those two mods would equal another 46WHP to put you on par with the other IX that was tested at harman motive. I mean the other IX made more WHP than you with just a Flash. I'm not saying it's the tuning because they tuned another IX with no problem, so I don't know, but your numbers look low. You should be at 300WHP even on the stock cat and downpipe.

Unless, was this done on stock boost levels or 22PSI? If it was done at stock boost levels then it makes sense?

Going by his location: LA, which has 91 octane ****, I'd say those numbers are dead on. Maybe if there was 93 octane in the area, I would bet he'd be a lot closer to 300whp.
