Trade or sell... 2005 VIII ?

Think I want to spring for a IX, had a pretty good year. What does everyone think a black 05 leather & sunroof 800 miles is worth? I know what Kelly Blue Book says but what does the real world say. MY wife and I enjoy performance cars and have a collection, but because we live in New Hampshire our daily drivers are four wheel drive trucks, so the cars are seldom used.

Depending on the Miles, I would say between $28,000 and $30,000 if you sell it privately. Trade In would probably get you around $26,000.

The thing isn't even broken in yet, I am sure you will get a decent penny for it, good luck with the IX

Keep it.

I had the same thoughts in my mind with 54 miles on the odometer.

Any sort of move to the IX will result in some sort of loss; actually it comes out to be quite large if you do the math.

Of course, you can save yourself some money if you have enough cash on hand to buy the car outright.

If you plan on financing (I think Mitsu and most banks are offering 3.9% as the lowest rate I've seen lately), the loss gets greater.

Just use the extra money you've earned and get a stroker kit and GT35!

you'll lose your *** on a trade, sell if you get rid of it. i was gonna do the same with my MR, but it's just not worth it IMO.

i would say it depends on what your plans are for it. i think the 9's will have issues with the mivec in the future when trying to get it into the 10's/9's in the 1/4. just my personal opinion. nothin like the original 4g63 without the mivec. i think the new 9 does quite well with minimal mods but i'm still curious to see how it acts in the future with something like a gt35r added to it and how difficult it'll be to tune it. good luck in whatever u decide!
