Quote: Thanks man. I always love the looks of the 993. If you can get a 993 turbo, that will rock. BTW, the sound of the Cayman inside is pretty much the same as the aircooled Porsche engines.
i used to not like porsche much because of the rich lawyer and pimped out rapper image they carry. but after i played Need For Speed Porsche Unleashed, i was totally in love with the cars. i've been dieing to get a 993 turbo since then, as it's my fav chassis. those bulging rear fenders make it look like J-Lo's ***. mmmm mmm b***h!

Road and Track just compared the Cayman to the Lotus Exige and it came out on top. Sounds like great car.

Yeah, if I was to get rid of the my Evo I would very strongly consider the Cayman.
Other cars in consideration: C6 Vet z51 (3100 lbs, 400hp)
Used Porsche 996
I even considered the new Ford Shelby Mustang GT500 until I read that it is going to be over 3900lbs.
and, of course, I might get the Evo 9 MR.

Cayman
Congrats on the new ride.

My father used to have a 993 turbo. A truly amazing machine.

My biggest problem with the Cayman is the Porsche Stability Management (PSM). Even if you turn it off, it will automatically turn itself back on under certain conditions (like braking hard enough to active the ABS).

I'm also a little disappointed with the quality of some of the parts on most of the newer models (even the 997). Some of the plastic bits like the interior door release handles should be better.

Anyhow, the Cayman is a very cool car. If it weren't for the PSM I might have to seriously consider one.

I am in the process of talking my mom into getting a cayman. I told her that she needs a car that can keep up with mine.....and that i can steal from time to time. Well see where i go with that. Glad to hear you like it though!

All you need is a nice widebody single turbo MKIV supra to keep the Japanese to German ratio even... mmmmm
