Now that I have a black VG I decided to not run my S2K RC car antennae. I never listen to the radio here in the Norcal Bay Area cause all the stations suck anyway playing house and recycled hip hop. I always roll CD's or im yaking on my phone with a bluetooth headset. Get Sirius!

why would anyone steal the stock antennae? most new cars come with that ugly pos newyz.

 

they did you a favor. The stock antenna is ugly. But if your that bent on it you can have mine just pay shipping. I replaced mine with the perrin short antenna it is much better looking.

 

Had been fortunate for several years with my 03 VIII with the shorty antenna, but some !!!! decided to steal it two days ago(no damage, just unscrewed it). I had since replaced it with a new one and threadlocked it. Well this afternoon after work I see the mount is now cracked. I checked at the local stealership says its $120 for the antenna mount, WTF? Anybody familiar with the replacement method? How the mount is affixed to the roof? Recommended retailer for this type of part?

 

I got a perrin and I put red loc-tite on it. I dont think it will ever come off.

 

I had my antenna folded in 2 places...now it just dangles in the wind until I replace it.

 

just go find an S2000 or honda odysey and steel it. lol

 

Bummer ...but at least they didnt break into your car and leave tons of broken glass everywhere.

But i dont get why people are just telling you to steal it, this thread was about how it sucked that some asshat stole it..yet our own members are saying steal someone elses also..

i guess i know in advance if anyone holds an evoM meet up i'll make sure to remove any items on my car that come right off since it seems theres a buncha theives on this site

yes i replaced it with a nice Agency Power Graphite Shorty Antenna

 

s2000 antennas fit...but that's like $30-40.

the perrin shorty antenna will run you 25-30...depending on where you go. i know a vendor that sells them for 24 picked up.

 

Anyone (particularly in the NW) notice a significant decrease in radio reception with the Honda shorty? (The Perrin was noticeable worse so I sent it packing.) I gots to have my KEXP!
