You can find another brand test pipe for cheap, either new or used and use this and come out much cheaper than the UR test pipe, or the perrin test pipe.

 

yeah but its all about how much time you wonna put into it, the UR test pipe already has all that stuff built into it, all you gotta do is extend the wires on the o2 sensor, relocate it from your catback bung to the test pipe bung and thats it.

i never tried the perrin test pipe but its 200 bux, you can get the UR test pipe for 85 if i remember correctly, lancer shop sells it, i deffinitely recommend it

 

I didn't no it came with something to prevent the CEL. I thought you just got the actualy pipe and wondered how does that not make the light come on...but i understand now....thats definately what im doing thanx guys

you got it. Its a mechanical fix built into the pipe. When you solder the wires, get heat shrink tubing and some isopropyl alcohol. Soak the wires in alcohol before you apply the solder. It will help tin the wires together correctly. You will the hear the alcohol sizzling off, but it wont catch fire. Then pull the heat shrink down over the soldered joint and you are all set. (be sure to put the heat shrink on before you connect the wires and slide it up out of the way)
