ultimate racing test pipe

Hey guys whats up im new here and just bought a used evo 9 mr. I am looking to upgrade its performance. My plans for now are TBE intake and a tune from TT. I was reading that using the ultimate racing test pipe you do not get a CEL. I was wandering if that is true and how it is possible. My freinds has an 05 with perrin test pipe and he needed to use the perrin 02 sim, what could the diffrence be?? If i need to buy the 70 dollar 02 sim I might as well just buy the perrin test pipe becuz it comes with it

Get the perin. It's a pain in the a*s if you have to work backwards b/c of a sensitive car.

I wonder how this works. does it mean you cna put a test pipe on any evo and as long as it isn't sensitive it won't throw a cel?? or there sumthing special about the UR pipe that cel stays off?? just confused as how that works

For the UR pipe there is a extension where you put the 02 sensor it is backwards, you just have to extend the wire by pulling all the way out.

Or you could just buy any regular test pipe and use a spark plug anti-fouler from any auto parts store to prevent the cell. Shold be cheaper than both of the options you're currently considering. There is a thread about it somewhere, let me look...
