JDM Evo IX rear bumper concerns

that so called jdm crash beam isn't a real crash beam. That part is already on your stock VIII bumper. Thats just a bumper retainer/license plate bracket. When you install the JDM IX bumper, you have to remove that bracket off the VIII and transfer that onto the IX rear bumper.

Jbigelow and I (when i was working at gruppe-s) were the first one post an install How-To on the JDM rear bumper. Use that link as a reference please

Ummm...I think the ones on orbital and mitsubishiparts are just bumper supports. $40 is quite cheap and someone already bought it. There is already a thread somewhere here that discusses the JDM IX Rear bumper support and it's not a crash beam, but a piece that holds the license plate and supports the bumper from sagging.

The part they are selling is something that we already have on the USDM Evo 8 and 9 rear bumpers...

How strong is this beam vs the USDM beam for the US bumper? Is is safe to have two kids in the back seat with this JDM beam?
