Like the title says I smashed up my evo pretty good. It was really stupid actually, I was simply pulling into my driveway (yes I signaled) and some lady rear ended me. I don't get it though we were both on the right side of the road and my freaking house was on the left side. I actually watched her swerve at me while I was turning into my house. I told the cop I thought either she did it on purpose or was on drugs. Who knows.

So far my evo9 bumper is toast and so is my greddy ti exhaust. I'll have the car towed tommorow so an adjuster can look at it. Here's a pic, sorry its from my camera phone.

 

It took the impact quite well -- even without the crash bar.

How fast was she going when she hit you?

she was going pretty fast when she hit, my rearview mirror actually fell off upon impact. I would guess about 20mph since we were in a neighborhood.

I have the same exact setup – JDM rear with GReddy Ti. That sucks man, and so close to home! What a *****! Hope she was cited for prostitution and stupidity.

 

it was a 323 1990 mazda hatchback, about the size of a civic hatch.

 

Hope you're okay with insurance since you don't have your rear crash bar...

She probably didn't see your signal and thought you were making a right turn since most likely you made a slight right before making the left turn. So when she saw you making that slight right, she immediately thought you were going to stay on the right and she made the stupid decision to pass you on the left. People are so stupid, they just don't want to wait and brake so instead they try to pass you without realizing you have signal for a left turn.
