he probably can't but Mommy can.

I just hope thing work out, I wouldn't be surprised if insurance refuses to pay a portion of the other car based on the lack of a crash bar. then you'll be in a world of hurt.

I got rear ended like that a few months ago by a brand new Dodge Ram. I thought about getting the JDM EVO 9 bumper while it was in the shop, but I was afraid of getting hit in the back again.

My damage didn't look as bad as yours cause he hit higher on my car, but I will tell you my car had to go on the frame rack because the bumper support was bent down and the had to replace it and fix tha part where the support attached back on. Part of my truck floor was pushed in as well.

I wouldn't be a bit surprised if you have some sort of frame damage. Good luck, but after this experience, I wouldn't put a JDM EVO 9 bumper back on my car.

I just asked my owner's dad who is a State Farm agent about it. he said they will pay to fix the car no matter what. wether your particular company sees it differently, dunno. But maybe it isn't as bad as it seems. I think I still would rather have the crash beam and I hope they make a replica that lets you keep it. At least it would mean less damage and less time in the body shop if you do have the beam installed.

I'm awful about things like this, I stay broke most the time because of my car addiction. It's a luxury I have now because I'm single, but probably a likely cause of my being single too. Anyway, about the mommy comment, why would I pay interest on a loan if I didn't have to. Mommy remarks should be reserved for punk kids who don't work for a living. I work my *** off and I'm no kid.

The real crazy thing is my mom is the one that talked me into this. It was even her idea to go to the dealership in the first place. This is the first time in my life she's been a bad influence on me. If you knew her you'd understand, this is very unusual behavior for her.

I'm still not sure she was a bad influence. Btw, do you own two evo's now? I never got that part. Anyway, even after the other one got fixed, even if its perfect, you'll attribute every raddle to the accident and it will bug you forever. The money that you spent on the new one may have been lost anyway when you tried to resell the hit one a few years down the road when they found out it was hit. At least now you have a relatively new car to sell that you can still sell for a good price to the guy that is willing to accept that it was hit.

I'm not sure I would have done it as fast, but I still would have done the same thing. About the single thing, marry/date a lawyer and you'll be set.

Yes, for now I am the proud owner of two evos. It kills me too, they look so nice parked together in my garage. I didn't get a chance to take my old evo into the shop today, hopefully tommorow. I got a call from her agent today, it was funny actually. He couldn't believe how stupid this accident was and said I shouldn't have any worries about this claim going on my insurance. They couldn't get a statment from the girl today, but as long as she says what she told the police all should be well.

Just be careful with her agent... he may have been buddying up with you to see what he could get you to say. Not saying he was, but they're not employed to hand out money.

Nah, doesn't sound crazy to me. Seems like a Mom type thing to believe the old one is no good, unsafe and thus unsuitable for her son so that its better off getting another one. She's just looking out for you.
