So without a doubt, the best deal on Mobil 1 is the 5 quart jug at Wal-Mart. I'm assuming the Evo only takes 4? Where does your 5th quart go?

I get those 5 quart jugs too. I'm just saving the leftover oil to someday get a extra oil change out of it.

If I happen to buy the case with 6 bottles in it, I just accumulate them and save them for a future oil change. I do the same with the big jug. I always keep a little oil with me in the trunk. The Evo tends to burn a little over time.

You drive an STi, and post this on an EVO board....... so is your deciding factor of buying an EVO based on how much an oil it holds? What was the point of the post?

Point was that I've been trying to read up on the Evo as much as possible because I'm getting ideas of trading up to an Evo 9.

I just changed my oil, like the 5 gallon jug because I can fill it back up with the old oil but don't bother to keep the extra ~1/2 quart. Because I've been hanging out here more than Nasioc, I figured I'd put it here so I'd have a better chance of viewing the replies. As it turns out, you use all 5, which I DO find interesting, but as I've already conceded to, the 'point' is moot since your pan is larger. I'll go back to Nasioc with my [notso] technical questions.

Just under 4.25 usually puts it at full. I usually put just under 4.5 which brings it about a 1/4 inch over full on the stick, with some room to burn, I guess.
