You can definitely get the full TBE from Buschur. Check out the link in my sig if you want to make your IX very fast for low cost. You don't need an intake, though, so check out the IX package and go for it.

Included in the package price is your choice of a hi-flow cat or test pipe on the TBE as well as a choice between the race muffler or quiet muffler. It's all up to your preference. All you do is call Buschur and order the package by name...

A lot of times you have to build your TBE. Sometimes you have to buy the catback, then add the downpipe and a HF cat or testpipe to 'build' your own TBE.

If you know what you want, give the shop a call. I'm not sure how everything bolts up to the IX, so I'm curious too as I'm in the market as well.

I know that Buscher has a staged package out for like $1200 or something that includes a full TBE and other stuff. Search for it if ya like.

It's in my sig, Boomn29. With the BR TBE, you don't have to worry about piecing it together. It fits the IX, which is confirmed, and it makes great power while being extremely light. If you want some proof threads, search for threads started by Girlie. She has some great reviews of the exhaust installation, sound, and power.

Thanks for the reply, and thanks for the email response too!

I know some vendors make you peice together, since some people just want a catback, others choose between a Testpipe and HF Cat, and others don't want a dp for some reason - so they leave options open.

Speaking from experience, a package setup is soooo great. I've peiced together stuff in the past, buying some things new, some used, different vendors, etc. It's kinda fun, but also a PITA if you're strapped for time. You have to do a LOT more research on different parts mating up and working together etc. But still, research anything before you purchase!

I've asked a couple spots, but I'll ask again. Do the Evo IX aftermarket exhausts sound different? I'd think there's gotta be some difference given the Mivec switch-over? Any sound clips of Buscher on a IX?

The exhaust itself is the same. Any change in sound would just be from the difference in engine sound, but I haven't really seen anyone talk about it as noticing a specific difference. I also said this in my earlier response:

There is not really a switchover with the MIVEC to give it much of a sound change, like that of VTEC. With it only adv/ret the intake cam timing, no noticable sound differnce is made.
