. We'll for the most part i think i'm gonna order parts online. I need 2 new tires and i got some from tire rack and there gonna send them to my apo address which is cool. i really need my windows tinted. Do you know of anyone on base that did that stuff. Cause they want like 180 pounds of base which is ridiculous
. Anywayz thanks for the info. England is okay i guess except for the weather!

They call Bury Saint Edmunds the town of roundabouts, you probably know why. Just heads up, there are a couple of speed traps that the Bristish police use on the Norwich Motorway nearby Bury Saint Edmunds.
The police use a car and a motorcycle and they hide on the access road of the main Motorway. It is imposible to see them because neither you see them or they see you until you pass them.
They also have a trasmitter on the road with a receiver on their car which they monito from the 3 bridges nearby Bury Saint Edmunds.
Last but not least, observe the gray boxes in town, they are a speed sensitive device. The police will send you the pic with the ticket.
When I got my 148mph speeding ticket in the UK I got 4 letter of counselings from the USAF:
One from my supervisor
One from the First Sergeant
One from my Squadron Commander
and one from the legal office
My commander inpounded my car on base for a week and I had to give him the keys of my car. I went to a british court in blues with a Chief and a Master Sergeant, I did not loose any stripes but I lost 8 weeks of driving privileges and 335 british pounds. Also my commander gave me a direct order or any reincident speeding tickets will result in absolute loss of base driving privileges. That speeding ticket affected my EPRS that year.
Oh boy that was fun !!

i see that you have a 91 civic si..... i got a 93 civic vti over here which is like a si i'm guessing but faster. Is yours a hatch?? My is just sitting in my driveway the back end is kinda ****ed up. Someone rear ended me in a roundabout. I'm gonna part it out i think cause the engine is still good. Need to get rid of it. Can't afford it with all the crap you have to pay over here. Road tax, mot, etc... So if you need any parts for yours let me know. Yeah i'm gonna get in contact with that guy and see what he can do for me. Did you say he does window tint?

Karl,
Since you are a fellow USAF airman, I will hook you up sending you the stuff you need. My friend's name is Steve(Owner) and his shop is called SPAmotors, he works mostly with Porsches but also any other sports car. It is located in NewMarket, he can take care of your MOT and even the road tax and definately he will get whatever parts you need. You must tell him that you are a friend of Carlos(Guy from Spain with Red Porsche Cabriolet), he will bend over for you.
Also don't forget that you don't have to pay the VAT 17% tax on parts or repairs.
Changing the subject, you have the Civic that everyone dreamed in the USA for years and years. You have the 165hp version on hatchback with full Vtec fully loaded.
Back in 1992 that car was absolutely a shame for the best car makers in the world, Honda manage to squeeze over 100hp per liter N/A on a cheap economy reliable hatchback. The technology showed on that car was a tru slap in the face for BMW Porsche and just about any other sport car manufacturer in the entire world.
Remember we are talking about 14 years ago, BMW did not even had their Vanos System on their M3, nor Porsche had their Varioram on their 993's. Short after Citroen followed the trend with their Variable timing and now everyone copied all the way(Mitsubishi Mivec) Subaru STI.
Your car was NEVER sold in the USA with that engine on a hatchback, they started selling the same engine but 7 years later on the coupe(1999 model).
People should be aware of all these bragging rights...
Lucky you!!
