you must be able to find pads in the UK (?)
it's only home of alcon, ap racing and so on. while they don't make the pads, I'm sure there's some about for them to use...

try demon tweeks or someone like that (Grand Prix Race Ware also)

http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/produc...FCP1334H&app=Y

bloody expensive though...

You bet...

If u buy anything from UK vendors you'll end up paying three times what u pay in the US. Keep in mind that Evos sell in the UK for about $70k. Most of US vendors ship to APO addreses. Ask for a military discount.

humm...
when I was there it was pretty crazy. computers and stuff are like the same figures as the US, just different currencies. And then there's that 17.5% VAT.

Nice place though. beers, curries, etc...

i heard the hawk hps or the ferroda ds2500 are good for not having pad transfer problems and the hawks are better price. both are good for street/light track use.

thanx for the info fellas! still undecided.... project mu or hawk hps. Hawks are like the only ones i can find in stock so i guess those are the winners. i still got alittle pad left but i want to have them to be on the safe side. you guys are so lucky in the states... i get f@$ked cause in england you got road tax, m.o.t. inspection every year! **** gets expensive especially with exchange rate. I wanna go back to alabama

just to throw a spanner in to works, the Mu Level Max 900 stops like you've just hit a force field, with minimal heat up. I get mine from Japan so I don't know if anyone else sells them...

Karlzhot,

Please let me help you on this issue, I also lived in Bury Saint Edmunds Area for a while, I use to go to the town almost everyday to get R/C car parts and see the little market. Anyway, I know a friend of mine that has a shop in Newmarket, the shop is SPAmotors the owners is Steve. Please call him, I had 9 vehicles while I was there in England and never had a issue getting parts, in fact anypart at all.

Stealth R/T Twin Turbo
Lexus LX450 SUV
Porsche 911(964 Carrera4 cabriolet)
Renault 21 Turbo
Renault 5 Turbo
BMW K75 bike
Citroen BX GTI
Citroen BX GTI again
Ford Sierra

There is another small performance shop in Mindelhall Village that also carrys everything, the best thing is that this shop actually brings the merchandise to the base. Last but not least the auto hobby shop and the old gas station auto shoppete can order any part for any car to your APO.

Good luck and let me know if I can help you any further, I can get the phone numbers for each shop in UK.

By the way, where are you stationed: Lakenheath Royal AFB?, Mildenhall Royal AFB?,Fairwell Royal AFB? Alconbury Royal AFB? Woodbridge?

There is nothing coolest than going from Lakenheath to Bury Saint Edmunds on the back roads, what a blast!!

Thanks !!

Carlos

wow that's so cool... someone that lived around here. Are you military? i am at lakenheath in the air force. Yeah i live right in the middle of town pretty much in bury it's so close. Yeah the back roads are sweet too. There's so many ways to go and you can pretty much go as fast as you want. Sux though about the gas issue. Only can get 90 octane on base . We'll for the most part i think i'm gonna order parts online. I need 2 new tires and i got some from tire rack and there gonna send them to my apo address which is cool. i really need my windows tinted. Do you know of anyone on base that did that stuff. Cause they want like 180 pounds of base which is ridiculous . Anywayz thanks for the info. England is okay i guess except for the weather!

Actually I was short on my list of cars that I had while I was there, it was a total of nine cars, I forgot to mentioned my Blue modded Stealth R/T Twin turbo which I got a speeding ticket going 148mph on the A-11 towards Newmarket.

Anyway, I was assigned to the 48th CRS now is called 48th CMS. I have pictures of myself racing at Santa Pod Raceway. There are a bunch of local auto X tracks in the surounding area like Snetterton or Woodbridge.

There is also another dirt track just exiting the 5 way roundabout exit towrad London on the A-11( just about 2 miles on your right hand side).
