Buschur Stage Kits
Buschur Stage Kits
Alright well I plan on buying an 03 Evolution, I am intend to keep the mods down due to a lack in wallet size however I would like to not be stock but be reliable even down the road. Chances are the EVO I buy will have 40k ish, it will be a religiously mantained baby of mine though I will drive it like it's meant to be driven but still keep up with it. I was wondering if I'd be better of going with a Buschur Stage kit... https://secure.buschurracing.com/cat...hp?cPath=21_63. I was thinking I'd be all set with S2 in the end of everything which would set me back about $2,000 total... I have not seen the dyno numbers on that but what kind of WHP would you think I'd put down? OR should I just piece together my mods and do them over time, TBE, Intake, Flash... I just don't want to miss anything I really SHOULD have, but I also want to stay within a reasonable price but not be stock.
You can't go wrong with the BR stages. They are proven and used by tons of people around the country. You can also take a look at my specific Buschur package (in my sig). The parts are slightly different, but you can't go wrong with either path.
Warrtalon don't even look in this thread IBTL b4 him. I've been here for like 5 days or whatever and I know the answer to this question. Go on amstuned.com and look at their packages too, they show probable gains with their mods. (shouldn't be too different from buschur). You might wanna look up on your clutch if the car your buying is at 40K miles. Warrtalon has packages too.
Edit: 2 people beat me to it.
*Edit2 : Whats TBE that he mentioned

PS. I highly recommend AMS in all things that they do in the Evo community. I just am not fond of their staged upgrade path.

Thanks for the TBE question.
Yeah I was looking at those two packages, I thought Buschur might be more reputable because you are sponsered by them. I really like both of their packages but since you mention this, I have changed my mind.

I think there quality is very high, its just your details and descriptions about your mods and everybodys experience with buschur seems a little higher than AMS's. Nothing to them, might even buy things from them, I just checked buschurs packages again and the package comes with a dynoflash and is it true that you can get reflashed for free after you perform more modifcations?

Please explain something to me. I always see you posting threads in the Off-Topic area saying that you are in debt, and when you have money you need to spend it. So how will you be buying an evo? To be honest, I think the evo might be the wrong thing for you at this time in your life, but that's just me. Judging from many of your threads, some of which I posted below, you might need to figure out your education before a sweet car. But hey, you might of figured something out from the last thread you posted about your debt.

However, the difference now is that although I know I can get the SAFC to work well and achieve great times and power with it, I do not like suggesting it to the masses, because it's just too complicated when it comes to needing a logger, wideband, and all the tuning knowledge just to work hard and get no more than a flash would give. Back in the day, I swore by it mainly for myself, but I had a hard time recommending it to everyone, since I realized it wasn't something that everyone could do well.
