P0137 code
P0137 code
Hey,
My buddy has an 05 MR and just got done installing his manifold/O2/TBE including the Perrin O2 simulator. We installed the same on my 03 and had no problems. He just pulled a P0137 code. I searched to no avail. Any suggestions other than what the code is? I know the code is a heated secondary oxygen sensor! Any ideas as to what might cause it?

I don't know where you might get the harness from, but here goes (see attached).
step 1 basically makes sure that you've got the code
step 3 checks if the connector near the sensor and on the sensor are okay.
step 4 checks for grounding between #1 on D-40 and #75 on C-115
Good luck

i have heard from a few people having issues with electronic 02 sims. however, i don't know anyone that had a problem getting a mechanical one to work properly, i'd give that a shot. you can make one with a drill and no-fouler for $5 or buy one on ebay premade for $15. look under CEL fix.
Your O2 simulator may have the light flashing because it has power (+12V) and it's grounded correctly, however connections may be wrong. You're not supposed to cut any wire other than the O2 sensor signal, my guess is that you cut one (or both) of the heater wires (black wires on the O2 sensor), hence your ECU throw that code.

I checked everything out and nothing is wired incorrectly. I called Perrin and they told me the same stuff check the voltage on the 02 sensor, swap out O2 sensors etc... The perrin tech guy also told me that he talked to a guy the other day who had a 2005 Evo, not sur eif it was an MR or not?? But he has replaced the O2 sensor and the perrin simulator several times and the damn thing is still throwing a code. If for some reason I cant get this issue resolved is there any way that I could disable the O2 sensor so I dont have to be throwing codes everytime I drive my car???
