evo ix hks TT install

First off, I been readin on this site for a couple months and it's great. Organized stuff. I was in the market for an evo 8 but found out the 9 was out so I waited and got a 06 RR IX MR.

I've searched but i couldn't find anything. All i found was install hks tt for evo 8. I have the hks tt type 1. I have I used https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/at...chmentid=81061 and tapped 80 and 43. The TT works, RPM is accurate but the MPH( vehicle speed) isn't working. Did I tapped the wrong wire?? Can somebody help me? I wanna get this problem solved asap. Thanks

do you have full catback? lets say, you do! off, what year is the full catback/ exhaust? coz, if your car is evo 9. you may have a little problem, but can be fix. the evo 8 middle piping is deffirent than evo 9. evo 8 has sensor hole and the evo 9 is none. you may go to the muffler shop to cover that hole.
Putting on the muffler is eazy, just follow or remember the bolts and nut your taking off. all the hardware you need is included in the box. just switch the rubber at the rear piping.

whoa.... lol where did that come from? did you buy the plug and play harness or did you wire it up yourself? if your having problems i believe their was a certain feature you couldnt hook up that was only for the jap spec models. but yea if you have the plug and play harness it should solve all your problems easily.

O yea, I did have the hks plug and play harness. I plugged that in and had 3 other wires from the turbo timer (hks type 1 black series). e-brake, vehicle speed, and crank angle(rpm). I hooked those up but the mph isn't working. Did I hook up the wrong vehicle speed wire? I'm sorry if I didn't explain more clear. I'm just confused....

Calling all IX owners with turbo timer. Preferably hks type 1(black series) turbo timers. Which wires on the ecu do you connect the vehicle speed to? Help your fellow evo owner. =D
