IX owner hear. I installed a simple Blitz TT tonight. The same HKS harness works for the ignition - all the same as my 03 hookup was.

I do need the same speed/rpm signals for my Defi HUD Basic hookup as well. Getting ready to run those wires to the ECU here soon....

The IX ECU has only 3 plugs, vs the 4 plug design of the Evo VIII. Weird. I'm looking at the diagram posted above, but it's not really showing me what wires to tap into for the rpm and speed... I read 80 and 43 earlier, but don't see either of those on the diagram?? I guess just count over from the side and hope for the best.

The above ecu diagram and spots listed do work! I also borrowed #35 (intercooler spray) for the power for my HUD, since there's no intercooler anymores. Everything works!

I have to hide all the wires yet though, looks like **** right now imo. I also put the translucent sheet on the windsheild too high and it's got a scrape in it. I think I have an extra sheet though - just advice for future installers. Also, make sure to recheck your ground. My ground wasn't good at first...

Update. Drove to work today for the first time using the HUD. Don't think I like where I put it, but that's a different issue.

My rpm's are spot on with my tach.
My mph is waaaay off with my speedo. Not sure if there's some type of 'calibrate' I need to do for the unit to help 'learn' the speed. I think I had to do something like that on my old HKS TT that displayed the mph. I don't have the instructions with me right now, so not sure.

I checked my ground. It seems good. I had the ignition in the on position and i let off the ground and the hks TT turned off, so I put it back in place. Where did you put your ground wire to? Is my ground now good enough so the mph to work??
Man, this is really getting on my nerves that the mph isn't working. I can't use any of my features w/o the mph working. The only thing i can basically use is the countdown.
Is my hks turbo timer broken????

Hey, How do you calibrate the mph on the hks tt? I see numbers come up but no where near the right mph. Man, this is confusing. I wanted the hks type 1 for it's features also, but maybe I should've gotten the type 0....

I have yet to calibrate the MPH. Not sure if there is a way to do it, but mine is off currently.

I grounded to one of the 2 bolts behind the glovebox. If you pop off the glovebox, they are 10mm in plain site.

There is a way, I did this with my previous HKS TT. Check out the detailed directions. I remember something like matching speed and/or revs at 30mph or 3k and hitting some button sequence.

Hey, you have to set the MPH yourself. It just doesnt plug in and boom...your all set. Find a Road with no one. Go to the MPH view, then let it blink a few times until it stops and shows 0, then you cruise at 20 MPH and get as close to it as Possible, then You hit one of the 4 buttons and its set.

Man, I tried for about an hour. It's was fustrating me. I might be doing it wrong. When i'm on the mph view, I push the bottom right button and it blinks 30, but doesn't stop. When I push it again, it does a long *beep* noise and turns back to 0 and that's it. Am I doing it wrong? Or is my TT broken?? Please tell me that i'm doing something wrong....
