Ok, got my towns excise tax and it was around $450

Curious what do people pay across the country....is my town screwing me?

 

Mass suck, just got mine $440.

 

I pay about $125 a year for plate renewal and that is it, that and 6% sales tax's when I purchased the car.

 

Yeah, I love how the Northeast double-taxes you. You have to pay sales tax AND "property tax" on your car. When I lived in Connecticut I moved before I got my bill (having no idea that those taxes existed) and 3 years later I get a collections notice for 800 bucks (the original tax was like 300) and a ding on my credit report. **** Connecticut. We just have sales tax out here in Kalifornia, + title & license.

$366 here in NC, and my car is a 03 too!

 

$458 dollars excise tax and $23 dollars back from tax returns...cutting into the mod fund bigtime

Property tax this year for the Evo which was purchased in April was $125.

wow... no tax here for me.... just renew the tags at 128 every 2 years.. just renewed 2day, lol, so im good through 2008

p.s. "ownership tax" on my car was $650 for one year...plus $60 license for plates
