Adjustable HID really necessary?

Hola peoples, I'm actually going to get a new evo ix for my birthday this month (march, and dont worry im paying for it myself!) and i was just wondering whether or not i should get the SSL package. The reason why i would get the SSL package is mainly the sunroof and especially the HID lights. The reason for this post is because I'm getting my car at south coast mitsubishi (holler at low prices!!) and im trying to get the best deal possible without spending too much. I was thinking of just picking up a regular ix gsr and having them (mitsu) replace the lights for HID, but the only thing is that it wont be adjustable. So...do i really need adjustable lights?

ALso if anyone has a pic of their regular ix gsr without the hid, can you please please please take a picture of it at night with the projector halogen lights on so i can see whether or not i really want the hid lights?

THanks

-ervin

btw this is my first post... so take it easy! hehehe

Heres a piece of advice, wait until your done with school. You might be able to throw together enough for payments with your money and your girlfriends, but the Evo is an expensive car to won, and there are many more costs besides a monthly payment and insurance. (if you have even accounted for insurance yet) Trust me, I tried to make it work while at college and Im glad I just decided to wait.

And no, HIDs are no necessary, but cool none the less.

The adjustable HIDs are pretty useless. When I first got my car, I played with the adjustments, but the highest setting, 0, is just about level with normal HIDs. All of the other settings lower the HIDs.

I just leave it at 0. Adjustable HIDs sound cool, but they aren't anything special.

wow, i actually fiddle with my adjustment all the time. it's like a pre-flight sequence for me, depending on where i am and where i'm going. but is it necessary? hardly.

hah... it's the best feature of the car... reaim yer headlights so that the lowest is the normal setting and then you can aim them up whenever you want, for those dark twisty roads.

Manually-leveling HID's are required in a car equipped with them if they are not auto-leveling. It is for lowering the beam angle when the rear of your car is loaded down with weight of somesort.

Wow, you make 400 a month and you want a evo, wow. Ok, your girlfriend is not the best reliability for a 200 dollar a month payment. Really. I think you need to rethink your priorities. To rely on your parents for a car that you do not have to have is stupid. You are a man, not a little boy, that needs his parents to buy him things. And you only make 400 dollars a month and you want to afford a 30,000g car.

Just WOW, your parents are most likely putting you through college. and now you want to add a car to the list of things that they are paying for. I can see your parents helping you with college, but if your getting help for your luxuries thats bad. I REPEAT YOU ARE A MAN.

Hear me out, the car is going to be about 31,000 out the door, then you will have to get insurence. So thats about a 1k a month payment for you.

LEt me tell ya, my dad always told me he left his parents house at age 16 and went to a new state, he then work his *** off. He was the only one out of 7 brothers and sisters to succed. He worked his *** off, and told me he is their for me when ever i am in financial trouble. He told me how to save money and now i have more money then i can think of. I am 18, i am living in a apartment with a roomate, i make 4g a month. When you are taught well, you live well. I dont need help from my dad, but help is there when i am ready for college, in the form of a 250g college fund.

So to sum up what i am saying. Put your prioritys first, and only use your parents when you need help. In your case you dont need a evo, you have a mercury
