My invoice says $790. And that is the "Advanced Recovery System" which calls your cell phone if your car is moved, started, etc without your little keychain transponder being near the car.
the system that costs half of that is only good once you find out your car is gone and you yourself call LoJack to have them track it.

There are other, perhaps better options than Lojack. I'm considering using the Unitracking system:
http://www.unitracking.com/
It uses a combination of GPS and cell phone networks to track the car and notify the user of changes to the status of the car. The basic kit is $599, and full kit is $699. The full kit includes electronics that will allow the user to remotely disable the starter (or whatever circuit you like). There is a yearly minimum fee of $50 for the system.

haha you all got screwed, lojack at my dealership is only $600 installed and they come to you to install it! we offer other things like the chip that you can track by satellite and you find the car via GPS, see how fast it's going and a bunch of other data from a computer. That is what i want because if mine gets stolen there is going to be hell to pay not just being arrested.
