Necessary ???
With all the gauges out there for sale sometimes i think it can be a little overwhelming for the majority of the consumer/enthusiast that don't plan on tuning there own car. What gauges would you all think are not necessary for people not trying to tune thier own car , and why?

. So what do you have now Trending Topics
ah someone who can roll with it.. i was just reading the sig..
ok over the years, many cars, many diff manufactures of gauges.. i will say the best and most accurate are stewart werner... if you like hitting rev limit alot buy the led shift light.. i have it my car very accurate..
the most important oil pressure.. thats a give in..
water temp you really dont need unless you track the car alot, or live real high temp areas... stock is fine..
oil temp, not needed unless tracking the car.. the t-stat in the pan and the cooler do a good job keepings things cool.
volt meter comes in handy when running a good amp stereo system.. buy the hks turbo timer, you get a timer and volt meter in one... again very accurate gauge..
boost gauge, helps tuning, keeps you from overboosting, again this is a give in..
afr. my sugg plx 300.. very accurate, great price..
if you dont want a permenat afr reading buy the innovative wideband.. you can find them used cheap..
egt, not really needed unless running autocross, or a big turbo running full boost for a couple miles straight.. like ams or chris from fl.
i have tried many autometers also, they are a cheaper alt. but will work.. also when installing a boost gauge some cheaper versions will tend to fluactate under vaccum at an idle.. just put a small restrictor in there and the jumping needle will be gone...
anything i forgot sorry, i need a smoke..
