you know what sucks about driving an EVO IX MR?

after driving a IX MR, you actually miss driving a numb FWD boat with terminal understeer?? it sounds like an evo may not be your cup of tea...

This just won the "Best Thread Ever" award!

You right the stock pads are good for the street. I haven't adjusted to all the pedal pressure required just yet. And no I haven't driven an EVO with AYC but what i saw on Top Gear FQ-400 vs the Lambo. The host driving the car looked like he was having alot of fun.
I really haven't had a chance to see what this car can do just yet. I kind of want to keep this car as close to stock as i can. So no lowering springs as of yet. Maybe I might buy a stock supension off another gsr or rs and have Koni rebuild the struts with double adjustibles.
Evo not being my cup of tea... I did an extensive search and research on a bunch of cars. From what I was looking for this car was the best match I could find for under 50k.
What i miss about my max is the love/hate relationship I had with the car. It was no ordinary max. It had a CAI and a Y-pipe. That doesn't sound like much but it added 20 hp to the wheels. For a grand total of 185 hp and 195 tq a far cry from a stock evos 235hp and 252 tq. I also ground control coil overs, Bridgestone S-02 tires and racing seats. Back in the cars STS autocrossing prime back in 2002. I would be dissapointed If I didn't have the quickest time for street tires.
