I just added a bung to the dp then connected the plx 300 to that.

the stock one is NOT a wideband o2. There are some factory cars that have wideband o2 sensors, but unfortunately the evo is not one of them.

If you're going to use the rear o2 sensor to monitor your engine's health, I think you should just use this:

at least it looks cooler

I wouldn't suggest tuning with it though, unless you want to blow up your engine.

No. Also the stock one is a Narrow band O2 sensor, not that great for tuning or logging.

You need a Wideband O2 sensor.

IMHO....and this may sound harsh....I think if this is your level of knowledge about tuning and such, you're better off saving your money, doing some more reading, and not getting the wideband.

i understand what they are for, i plan to get a tune, after i get a tune if it gets colder out my car will get leaner, if it gets to lean at WOT i want to know and not blow my motor. I was not sure if i could go a cheaper route that way or not. Im going to spend the money anyway so i always know if im running safe.

Most flashes take this into account though, hence why we go like 11.2:1

Seriously, do some reading, you don't need the wideband IMO
